Sycamore Canyon Wild Tepary
Phaseolus acutifolius var. latifolius. Collected near Ruby Road at Sycamore Canyon, south of Tucson toward the Mexico border. Long vines with purple flowers and relatively large seeds for a wild tepary. A fun exploration of agricultural history and wild plant conservation. Before planting, scarify seeds by sanding the seed coat lightly to allow water to penetrate. From our Seed-Bank Collection.
