Description
Hopi White
Zea mays. A soft white corn used by the Hopi for grinding. Medium to long ears on short plants. Some kernels have a pink tinge.
Most Hopi corn is capable of being planted deeply (as much as 1ft deep) if in loose sandy soil. Very drought tolerant. This corn crop was grown at Tesuque pueblo in New Mexico.
