Helianthus annuus. Apache Brown Stripe. Also known as Na Lidi Chu. A beautiful large-headed sunflower. Heads are typically 7-10″ and the stalk can reach over 10′ tall. Seeds are white with brownish stripes. From the San Carlos Apache Reservation, Arizona. Most recently grown out at Ndee Bikiyaa, the People’s Farm of the White Mountain Apache Tribe. Very popular!
