Rarámuri White
Helianthus annuus. (Tarahumara White). This rare variety with solid gold flowers has all-white seed hulls. Medium-large sized heads, ca. 8″ across. Plants 6-10’. Very beautiful. Canadian Mennonite in origin but grown by the Rarámuri in Chihuahua for more than 40 years after some Mennonites relocated to Chihuahua. Occasional striped seeds.
- Origin: high desert, about 7800′ elevation, but can perform well in low desert also
- Approx. 2g/25 seeds per packet.
