Description
O’odham Blue & White June
Zea mays. These hefty ears bear about 80% blue kernels. June corn is traditionally planted in midsummer with the summer rains. Plants grow 5 to 7′, most bearing 2 ears. This strain was selected by a non-native Tucson farmer from the O’odham June corn in the NS/S collection, which was collected in 1981 on the Tohono O’odham reservation.
