Mostaza Roja
Brassica sp. An hispanic heirloom mustard with tender, mild (for a mustard) flavored leaves and reddish seeds. Plant through the Fall and early winter in the low desert, or in early spring in the high desert. Very productive. A staff favorite. Used in soups, fresh salads, and as sauteed greens. Originally wild harvested from the Texas-New Mexico borderlands. From our Seed Bank Collection.
