Jericho
Lactuca sativa. These large heads of bright green romaine have excellent flavor and keep their sweet crispness well into early summer. Jericho is originally from Israel, so it’s no wonder it does well in the heat, though it also thrives in cool weather as other lettuces do. Very bolt resistant, and will grow back after being cut, as other romaines will do. Not from our seed bank collection, but your purchase supports our conservation mission.
